These terms govern your use of Trade Mate, a subscription service provided by FikraLabs Ltd. By subscribing to or using Trade Mate, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Trade Mate is operated by FikraLabs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17285560 ("FikraLabs", "we", "us", "our"). Our registered office is on the public register at Companies House. You can contact us at trademate@fikralabs.ai.

2. What Trade Mate does

Trade Mate is an AI-powered assistant for UK tradespeople that works through WhatsApp. When one of your customers messages your connected WhatsApp Business number, Trade Mate can reply on your behalf, ask qualifying questions, produce an indicative quote, capture the enquiry, and email a summary to you and your customer. You choose how it operates (see "Modes" below) and you can take over any conversation at any time.

Trade Mate is a tool to help you run your business. It does not employ you, represent you beyond the assistant function you configure, or take over your legal or contractual relationship with your own customers.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and operating a genuine trade or business in the United Kingdom.
  • You must own, or be authorised to connect, the WhatsApp Business number you link to Trade Mate.
  • You are responsible for complying with WhatsApp's and Meta's terms when connecting and using a WhatsApp Business account.

4. Subscription, pricing and payment

  • Trade Mate is offered on a monthly subscription. The standard price is £79 per month. A limited-time launch price of £49 per month may be available; where offered, the price you sign up at is the price shown at checkout.
  • Prices are in GBP. Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, prices may be exclusive of VAT; any VAT due will be shown where applicable.
  • Payment is collected securely by our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing you authorise us and our processor to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month on the billing date until cancelled.

5. Cancellation and refunds

  • Cancel anytime, no lock-in. You can cancel your subscription at any time by messaging us at trademate@fikralabs.ai or through the assistant support line.
  • When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid month, after which billing stops and the assistant stops handling your customers.
  • Monthly charges already taken are generally non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • We may suspend or cancel your subscription if a payment fails and is not resolved, or if these terms are breached.

6. Modes and how the assistant operates

  • Assist mode: the assistant stays in the background and only responds when you summon it (for example by mentioning its name in a chat). You remain the first point of contact.
  • Auto mode: the assistant responds to new customer enquiries automatically on your connected number.
  • You can switch modes at any time by messaging your assistant. Your choice of mode is also your consent for the assistant to handle messages on your behalf in the way that mode describes.

7. Quotes are indicative

Any price, estimate or quote that Trade Mate produces is indicative only and is provided to help qualify an enquiry. It is not a binding quotation, contract, or guarantee of price. You remain solely responsible for confirming final pricing, scope, suitability and safety with your customer before carrying out any work. Trade Mate does not provide professional trade, electrical, gas, structural, legal or financial advice.

8. Your responsibilities

  • You are the business owner. Your contract for any work is directly between you and your customer; FikraLabs is not a party to it and is not responsible for the work, its quality, pricing, or outcome.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give Trade Mate, and for reviewing messages the assistant sends where your setup allows.
  • You must use Trade Mate lawfully and must not use it to send spam, unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringing content, or to contact people who have not contacted your business.
  • You are responsible for your own tax, insurance, licensing and regulatory obligations as a trader.

9. WhatsApp and third-party services

Trade Mate relies on third-party services including WhatsApp/Meta (for messaging), cloud hosting, AI model providers, and Stripe (for payments). Your use of the connected WhatsApp Business number is also subject to Meta's terms. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or restrictions imposed by those third parties, though we will make reasonable efforts to keep the service running.

10. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that Trade Mate will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, update features, or change how the service works. We may suspend the service where necessary to protect security, integrity, or to comply with law.

11. Data and privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: your business settings and your customers' enquiry details are used to provide the service to you and are kept private to you; we do not sell personal data. Do not connect a WhatsApp number that you do not want processed as a business channel.

12. Intellectual property

Trade Mate, including its software, prompts, designs, content and branding, belongs to FikraLabs Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Trade Mate for your business while your subscription is active. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts or system design.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that:

  • Trade Mate is a business tool provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties.
  • We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost or missed enquiries, or for the acts, quality or outcome of work you agree with your customers.
  • Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid to us in that period.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of Trade Mate after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
